This piece is made from PLA, a lightweight and durable thermoplastic used for detailed 3D-printed products. PLA lets CurioPrinta create crisp shapes and clean geometry that would be tricky to pull off with traditional manufacturing.
Each tray is created one layer at a time, so fine layer lines may be visible, and small seams or minor surface variations can occur. These are normal characteristics of 3D printing — not defects — and because every piece is printed individually, very slight variations may happen from one to the next.
A few honest notes on PLA: it can soften or deform when exposed to excessive heat, so please don't leave it in a hot car or near heaters, fireplaces, open flames, or hot appliances. It's intended for indoor use, and it isn't intended for food contact.
