Picture a soft green wall of living moss climbing the back glass of your tank, holding its shape and spreading evenly instead of drifting loose across the substrate. This magnetic moss wall gives your aquarium moss a structured home: a honeycomb grid that cradles the plant while water and light pass straight through. As the moss fills in, the grid disappears behind a natural green panel that adds depth to a nature tank, an aquascape, or a busy community setup, and quietly creates shaded pockets where shrimp and small fish like to gather.
The Aqua Mosswall is a functional aquascaping panel built around an open honeycomb grid set inside a sturdy frame. You tuck aquarium moss into the honeycomb cells, and the open structure lets water flow through and light reach the plant so it can anchor and grow across the surface. Over time the moss knits together into a continuous green wall that hides the grid and gives the tank a layered, planted look.
The design was inspired by the mossy back walls and green vertical surfaces you see in nature-style aquascapes, translated into a piece you can actually position and reposition on demand. Instead of gluing or tying moss to hardscape and hoping it stays, you get a defined planting surface that keeps the moss where you want it.
Mounting is handled by an integrated magnet system. A magnet sits behind the aquarium glass and pairs with the panel inside the tank, so you can place, slide, or lift the moss wall along any flat glass pane without reaching into the water or disturbing your layout. This makes it easy to reposition as your scape evolves or to remove the panel for trimming and maintenance.
The panel works as a back wall, a side accent, or a floating green divider, and as the moss matures it also forms sheltered nooks that shrimp, juvenile fish, and smaller ornamental fish tend to use as retreat spots. Because animal needs vary, compare the panel's size, the honeycomb openings, and its mounted position against the size and behavior of the specific animals in your tank before adding it.
You receive the 3D printed moss wall with its magnet mounting hardware. Live moss, plants, and the aquarium itself are not included.

MATERIAL OPTIONS
PETG Aquarium Version
Any version intended to be submerged in an aquarium is printed in PETG and supplied completely unpainted. CurioPrinta uses PETG for submerged décor rather than standard PLA because PETG holds up better to prolonged exposure to water. This is not a claim that the panel is permanently waterproof, indestructible, chemically inert, or universally suitable for every aquatic species or water condition. The included magnets are hardware components, not a painted or coated finish.
PLA Dry-Display Version
A PLA version is also offered. It is intended only for dry uses such as shelf display, dioramas, terrain, and general home décor. PLA versions are not recommended for submerged aquarium use. If you plan to put the moss wall in water, choose the PETG aquarium version.
AQUARIUM USE INFORMATION
Before adding the moss wall to your aquarium, please:
Rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
Avoid soaps, detergents, household cleaners, or unapproved chemical treatments.
Inspect the item, including the honeycomb cells and magnet mounting, before use.
Confirm the panel openings are appropriately sized for the animals in your tank.
Position it securely against the glass so it cannot shift, tip, trap an animal, or press an animal against the glass, and confirm the magnets hold reliably in your flow.
Check it periodically as part of normal aquarium maintenance.
Remove it if it becomes damaged, develops sharp areas, loosens, or no longer holds securely.
Introduce it thoughtfully and observe your animals after installation.
This is general guidance, not veterinary advice, and it does not promise the panel is appropriate for every fish, shrimp, snail, or other aquatic animal.
DIMENSIONS
Approximate Dimensions:
Regular size-Length: 180 mm (about 7.1 in) Width: 180 mm (about 7.1 in) Height / panel thickness:.20mm (.79 in)
Because each item is individually 3D printed, minor dimensional variation may occur.
COLOR AND APPEARANCE
Available colors are shown in the color swatch on the listing (black, brown, green, and the other filament colors pictured). Select your color at checkout.
Aquarium versions are printed in solid-color PETG and are not painted. Colors may look slightly different in person because of lighting, photography, monitor settings, and filament batches, and the panel's appearance can shift once it is submerged and viewed under aquarium lighting. A natural look comes from choosing an appropriate filament color rather than applying paint, and green or black tones tend to recede visually as the moss grows in. Exact color matching is not guaranteed unless specifically stated.
3D-PRINTED CHARACTERISTICS
This item is created using FDM 3D-printing technology. Fine layer lines, small seams, slight texture changes, and minor variations are normal characteristics of the printing process. These details are not considered defects and make each piece slightly unique.
Support-contact marks may appear in hidden or recessed areas, and small cosmetic differences can occur between prints because each item is individually produced rather than injection molded. This does not mean noticeable structural defects are acceptable; each panel is made to hold together and function as intended.
CLEANING AND CARE
For the submerged PETG aquarium panel:
Rinse with clean water.
Use a soft brush when needed to clear debris from the honeycomb cells.
Avoid soaps, bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, boiling water, dishwashers, and high-temperature cleaning.
Allow it to dry completely before long-term storage.
Do not use chemical cleaners unless you have confirmed they are suitable for your specific aquarium and its inhabitants.
MADE-TO-ORDER NOTICE
Each Aqua Mosswall is printed individually to order, so minor differences between pieces are normal. Production time is separate from shipping time; please allow the processing time shown below before your order ships. If you would like a custom size or color, message me before purchasing to confirm what is possible.
Processing time: 3 to 5 business days.
IMPORTANT SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY NOTICE
This is a decorative and functional habitat décor, not a toy. You are responsible for deciding whether the size, material, openings, surfaces, magnet strength, and placement are appropriate for your animals and your habitat. Animals should not be allowed to chew or ingest the material. Remove the item if it becomes damaged, and be aware that small or broken pieces, and loose magnets, may present a hazard. CurioPrinta cannot account for every species, animal behavior, tank design, water chemistry, temperature, or maintenance routine, so please use your own judgment for your setup.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Live moss, aquarium plants, substrate, rocks, animals, the aquarium, lighting, and any other props shown in photographs are not included. You receive the 3D printed moss wall and its magnet mounting hardware only.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can this be placed underwater? Yes. The aquarium version is printed in PETG for submerged use and mounts to flat aquarium glass with the included magnets.
Is the aquarium version painted? No. It is printed in solid-color PETG and supplied completely unpainted.
Can I order this in PLA? Yes. A PLA version is offered for dry display, dioramas, and general décor. PLA is not recommended for submerged aquarium use, so choose the PETG version for anything going in water.
Can I paint it myself? For anything going in an animal habitat, any paint or coating would need to be independently researched and confirmed as suitable for your specific species and water conditions. I do not recommend adding paint for submerged use.
How should I clean it? Rinse with clean water and use a soft brush on the honeycomb cells if needed. Avoid soaps, bleach, solvents, abrasives, and high-heat cleaning.
Will it look exactly like the photographs? It will be very close. Because these are individually printed, expect minor layer lines and small cosmetic variation, and the color can look different once submerged and under tank lighting.
Is it suitable for my specific fish, shrimp, snail, or amphibian? It is popular with keepers of shrimp, juvenile fish, and smaller ornamental fish, but I can't guarantee compatibility with every animal. Please compare the panel size, openings, and mounted position against your animals' size and behavior before use.
